No Fear

Dec 19, 2007

Fear is a terrible thing.  Fear is a good thing. Fear is a motivator. Fear is a reason.  Fear causes people to act or react in one way or another.  Most people have a fear of something.  Things that people are afraid of: spiders, snakes, bears, things that fly, buffalos, the dark, heights, losing a loved one (mom, dad, siblings, friends), loneliness, being poor, struggling, public speaking, humiliation, and I could go on and on about the things that people fear.

Asking yourself what you fear the most is a hard question. To say it and to hear it. Even harder to admit it.  I like to live life with no fear. Live life to the fullest every single day.  Never wait for that rainy day. Be grateful for each day you got to spend with a friend. Be happy you got to love. Give away your love before you can no longer give it away any more.   I give away my love every day, and guess what?  It comes back at me ten fold in and every day.  Giving doesn’t have to be materialistic, it can be intrinsic.  It can be giving someone your time and attention.   Spend a day with my undivided attention and no one else around and you’ll know what I am talking about. Maybe you already have, so you know exactly what I am talking about.  Maybe it was that one on one time that people like to have. Or maybe I just made you laugh a lot. But for whatever reason, I know that giving you my time is important.   And special.

So what do I fear?  Right now nothing.  With the sun on my face and the wind at my back I go into my tomorrow making it count. No Fear.
